Good question. The Nostr-enabled Hashdash is the front-end for Hydra Pool (https://github.com/256foundation/hydrapool), an open source mining pool that can be configured and hosted according to one's preferences. The instance at dash.256f.org is purely for testing and hashrate donations to the 256 Foundation. Blocks are paid out in full to the 256 Foundation's on-chain address. Other instances could be set up with completely different payout schemes!
