That is one way to look at it. What is weird is that while David was transporting the ark (unlawfully on wheels), Uzzah touched the Ark so it wouldnt fall and.. he was killed by God instantly. David was angry with God, went back and read the Law, then rightly put the ark on poles and had Levites carry it. Good things to puzzle on as we build out the interpretive picture.
