A silent warning for every growing up millenial (and later Gens) that our fiat system is taking its toll on the most basic things...

It's stuff like this that makes Wikipedia a bad source. An educated guess is that it has to do with improvements in aerodynamics. The politically motivated editors here would rather reference The Guardian as evidence. "Hear those noises in the attic? It must be ghosts."

Actually this is a good entry: it documents something that the internet community noticed, it's not the other way around :).
