It seems like a millenial thing to make a big deal about having children. People in past generations just had children because it was a biological imperative akin to breathing oxygen. Maybe because millenials have grown up with social media they see the need to virtue signal about everything. I'm guessing becuase of the parenting style they had where they got a participation trophy for everything they did. Not sure if my take is correct but it just seems odd to me the way people these days make a virtue of something that every other generation in human history took for granted.

It’s more like the fact that very few of our fellow millennials have children compared to past generations. I just met up with a buddy who was one of 6, out of all of his brothers and sisters he’s the only one with kids.
