Spark, Ark, Greenlight, Liquid and ecash seem to be in a spectrum of trust tradeoffs when it comes to custody. Various wallets are leaning into one of these to make it simpler and easier for users to use Lightning. I like what Zeus, Alby and Blixt are doing, which is none of the above. Closest to pure self-custody, but with a little bit of a learning curve.

So many Lightning wallet models out there to keep track of •Alby's paid cloud hosting with an option to fully self-host •Zeus/Blixt Embedded neutrino node with options to choose LSPs •Phoenix's one-channel, one-LSP with splicing •Breez SDK + Spark/Liquid/Greenlight •Aqua/Bull On-chain + Liquid + atomic swaps •Spark integration - Blitz, Wallet of Satoshi, maybe Blue wallet •Ark integration - maybe Blue wallet •Lightning with submarine swaps - Muun •Ecash mints for custodying connected by lightning for inter-mint transfers - Fedi, Cashu •Fully custodial - Blink, Strike

Scaling, privacy and convenience are good but they definitely have the trade offs that some users are aware of and some aren’t Btw Zeus I think has the option for cashu
