I had to comment on the full creamy head lying atop this choice beverage. It was obviously poured correctly by an astute bartender. When I was in Ireland (nearly 100 years ago) the head was so important that Irishmen would literally dump out an improperly poured pint (via a grate built into the bar). But... the head, when poured properly, is so large on a Guiness, that the Irish originally complained they weren't getting a full pint. It was decided (legally) that head counts as part of the pint after the alcohol content was tested. The trick to a good pour is to tilt the pint glass and fill it only half way. Then the bar tender must wait and let the head form some before finishing the pour. The customer must then wait again for the head to fully form before drinking. ๐Ÿ€ In Ireland, Guinness is delivered every morning to the pub. Any Guiness that is not consumed y the end if the day is dumped. It is served fresh every day.
