A new show under the big top of this circus:
"The International Association of Genocide Scholars declares that Israel's policies and actions in the #Gaza Strip are consistent with the legal definition of genocide contained in Article II of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide."
Here is Article II of the UN Genocide Convention, read aloud together:
For the purposes of this Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
a) Killing members of the group;
b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
d) Using measures calculated to prevent births within the group;
e) Forcibly transferring the children of one human group to another.
And now - attention - a question:
If the Genocide Convention defines genocide as the following actions committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, any national, ethnic, racial or religious group, then towards which group is Israel committing genocide?
#Arabs? No. There are over 450 million Arabs in the world and 60,000 dead Mahmuds in Gaza are hardly the extermination of Arabs.
#Muslims? Also no. There are 2.2 billion Muslims in the world and again - 60,000 dead Mahmuds in Gaza are not the extermination of a group on religious grounds.
Perhaps we are talking about the genocide of mythical "Palestinians"? Again, no, because even in this case - 60,000 dead Mahmuds in 2 years of war is the result of military actions, and not targeted destruction, because in the Falostin autonomy and, especially, on the territory of other countries, where another 9 million of them live, no one destroys them...
And so, in such a simple way, all accusations of genocide crumble to dust, only again and again emphasizing the incompetence, venality and bias of all these "respected international structures" like the UN.
