It reads like they want you to have an audience/following with job/ industry specific expertise. I would understand this desire for senior level, c suite professionals. Seems odd for relatively entry level positions.
Interesting. Maybe they want to see what your online "brand" is. But I feel like that's what LinkedIn is for.
