Stars are extremely far away. Move your head left to right while looking at your desk and all the stuff on it shifts relative to each other. Look out the window at something in the distance, not so much
Then look up at the sky at the stars and do it. Not even the rotation around of the earth around the sun can make then budge, because they are so extremely far away

Double down. The change in position of the stars due to the Sun-earth *revolution* is observable. A sufficiently patient average person can measure it.
No, they are very close. This whole far far away thing is bogus. Numbers keep growing to hide the lie
