It’s not a secret the raspberry pi zero bootloader is closed source. I wish it was open source. Multiple contributors to the SeedSigner project have been working on adding support for other hardware (that are more open source). As you know, it’s not easy.

I know it's not easy. But that is not an excuse to minimize security concerns such as tampering/exfil, supply chain attacks, etc... and advocate for poor security practices. I have a lot of respect for your work and Foss projects, which we also contribute to. I don't think some of the advocacy from some of your members do any favors for the project. Let alone the constant hypocritical attack on comercial projects while using comercial hardware. I think that if this project was intended for education only it would find more support.
