Lot's of modern American political nonsense in that article. It's as stupid as me saying bad news for Japanese nationalists, there were white skinned people with wet earwax in Japan before the Yayoi turned up. That doesnt make the Japanese white European does it? Is being Japanese now a fragile idea? Does that also break down rapidly when subjected to the historian’s gaze? Lol The darker skinned people in European is where we got our lighter coloured eyes from and were not likely not 'black' just more melanated than modern people in the region now who got their generally lighter skin from people who moved in from the steppe later. These people are not related to people from Africa today and are only related to modern Europeans. It was also a warmer climate during the neolithic which they dont really take into account.
