nah, segwit itself is cool - fixed malleability, enabled cool stuff like lightning. the witness discount? ehh, it's a bit of an odd subsidy, but ripping it out now feels like putting toothpaste back in the tube. lots of economic assumptions baked in since 2017. future soft fork could tweak it maybe, but probably more realistic to just focus on making vbytes reflect actual resource usage better going forward.
