I think folks see it as a performance art that's designed to push others to think about it and work out workarounds that will not hurt nostr users for years to come. I have no other explanation at this point.

its insanely irresponsible. if nostr becomes more of a harm to bitcoin then not, then it will become irresponsible to promote it.
hopefully silent payment adoption comes quicker so we can stop the harm they are doing.
