What is your preference? Static or DHCP for personal + server IPs...

I use DHCP but assign static addresses to important devices, only ipv4.
On a LAN? I use dnsmasq to assign addresses (via DHCP), where important servers get static assignments. Then dnsmasq acts as a resolving DNS server, allowing everyone on the network to lookup WAN and LAN hostnames.
IPv6 gets no consideration in my world.
