#Imemba day 18. Each day, I am sharing bitcoin content that you may have forgotten or never encountered before. I hope these posts inspire you, educate you and help build your conviction about Bitcoin. On 31st October 2008, Satoshi released the Bitcoin Whitepaper. In 2021, Craig Wright, who falsely claimed to be Satoshi, launched an attack on two websites - Bitcoin.org and Bitcoincore.org, claiming that he owned the copyright to the paper and demanding that they remove it from their sites. What happened next will go down in Bitcoin lore. An artist by the name of @dimzayan had the idea to fight back by releasing a decentralised whitepaper project that could not be attacked, maintain freedom of speech and educate others about bitcoin. He reached out to a few plebs who were only too happy to help him with this vision. Within weeks, 159 Bitcoiners from around the globe came together to record themselves reading one line each of the Whitepaper. This project is lovingly known as: The Bitcoin Voicepaper. I hope you love it as much as we loved making it. A full list of everyone involved with a link to the video is below. Happy Bitcoin Voicepaper day, plebs! We will never be silenced.
