Bitcoin Core maintains its reputation by making difficult technical decisions despite upsetting ignorant folks. The neat thing is, if your feelings are hurt you can always write your own code. Or you can run code from a monarchist sedevacantist who thinks heretics should be murdered by the State and claims nobody could create a better self custody setup than his hot wallet that lost him his life savings. Freedom is great!

You can always fork like this, but be prepared for the "industry" to seriously & permanently tarnish you in the process. Too many core folks are providing ad hominims without substantive arguments. Knots folks make unaknowledged arguments & then resort to ad hominims. Who are uninformed folks more likely to trust, while both sides are intent on bastardizing the debate? GM PV GFY
I stand to lose nothing because nary a Knotzi will engage with me in a fork futures contract. Do you have the guts to change that?

Back in September I publicly offered to enter into a wager with anyone who was claiming that Bitcoin Core v30 was going to result in a massive node crash / network outage. Nary a Knotzi took me up on it, to my great chagrin. Today I'm making a similar, but better, offer to BIP-110 supporters. I propose we enter into a trustless fork futures contract. I'll take the side that will make the deposited BTC only spendable if BIP-110 fails, you take the side that's only spendable upon success. Minimum 1 BTC wager to make it worth my time. Come take my coins and show us your conviction!
