Exactly. If the border was privatized, it would lead to more efficient use of resources from incentives and competition that don't exist under the State's current monopoly on the border. It's all about the ECP.

How would it be private when two states own the land each side of the border and whoever manages the border does so for the behalf of government? Sounds like another public/private initiative that leads to a company being unaccountable whilst doing little more than add value for shareholders. Can you explain how this would work?
