I just don't have the email. Self host mail is always so many steps every time I look at it. What software is dead easy to set up and self host?

im not sure. it’s hard to send mail to popular email providers from your own server and not be marked spam. you can use a custom email domain without self hosting by configuring a handful of dns records your mail provider gives you.

I've sort of given up on mail, at least for important things, it creates too many dependencies really... For the self hosting I've been looking into it briefly, there are just a million gotchas. The best solution is probably to pay for something that works, if not you'd end up with a LOT of work avoiding flags for spam and so on...
