Small context on the UK bitcoin seizure and the reason they think they can only give back fiat(still think it’s theft btw). The bitcoin was purchased by the scammer as a method to flee with funds they scammed from Chinese citizens via a pretty basic stocks Ponzi scheme. So the bitcoins were never owned by the victims, UKs thinking being that they will just make those victims whole fiat cause the fiat is wat was stolen. Still theft, but just some context.
