Late night pondering 💭 In my work, I’ve noticed a rapidly growing demand for psychological diagnoses — especially neurodevelopmental conditions. It’s hard to know how much of this is thanks to a welcome rise in awareness and acceptance of mental well-being, and how much might be influenced by the demands of modern life — constant stimuli, relentless change, immediate digital distractions, and a pace that rarely lets us catch our breath. Children who move at a different rhythm are quickly labelled as “too much” or “hard to handle”. Perhaps now more adults, too, are seeking diagnoses as a way to make sense of why they struggle in a system that asks more than it should. GN #nostr 💫 #thoughtstr #psychology #grownostr image

It seems clear that most kids don't have ADHD, but have a nature and outside play time deficit disorder (with way too much screentime/indoor time making it worse) Plenty of sunshine, grounding, and consuming healthy food and water fixes so many issues Other apsects of your post made me think of this meme.. image

I completely agree - very skeptical of so many children being labelled as having something wrong with them when maybe the environment they’re in is the actual issue🫣 meme is spitting facts 💯
