Tbh, I like the calm environment here. Too many normies would destroy this atmosphere, and they wouldn’t understand the real reason behind Nostr.
That’s why they always switch to centralized alternatives. They don’t even move to the Fediverse. Most of them switch to Bluesky, which is still very centralized.
Of course, we should onboard way more people, but what really matters is quality over quantity.

I agree with both of you. On one hand, look at what happened to Bitcoin plebs and communities when it became mainstream.
On the other hand, Nostr is still too glitchy and niche of a niche to become even remotely popular and successful at this moment, but I love it anyway..
I feel most people would simply not move because they are addicted to an algo telling them what to see.
Nostr is 10 mins of scroll and you have seen it all. No way you waste your life scrolling here, which for most is an addiction that makes them not have to deal with their boredom or real problems.
