Even if you want to frame your argument in the survival of the fittest midset, Fungi , and other plant species do co-exist. That requires a fair amount of compassion. Obviously there are apex predators, but they are not the majority. Compassion is a man made concept. That being said, it’s compassion really just co-existing?
