IF IM RUNNING A NIP-29 RELAY AND BUILD IT UP TO LET'S SAY 1000 USERS AND EVERYONE BUILDS RELATIONSHIPS WITH ONE ANOTHER AND POSTS TONS OF CONTENT AND THEN SOME DAY I HAVE A BAD DAY, BECAUSE UTXO DIDN'T COME TO NOSTR VALLEY AND I DECIDE TO NUKE MY RELAY OUT OF SPITE THEN ALL OF THE 1000 PEOPLE JUST LOST THEIR CHAT HISTORIES AND CONTENT THAT THEY POSTED THERE OVER THE LAST YEAR. I DON'T LIKE NIP-29 FOR COMMUNITY RELAYS. FOR TEAMS/BUSINESSES/CORPS ETC. THEY MAKE SENSE TO ME BECAUSE THIS SCENARIO WOULDN'T HAPPEN. I DON'T LIKE ADDING A PIECE OF CENTRALIZATION ON NOSTR WHERE WE TELL PEOPLE THAT YOUR CONTENT WILL LIVE ON IN A CENSORSHIP RESISTANT MANNER ON MULTIPLE RELAYS. NIP-29 CHANGES IT TO NOT-CENSORSHIP RESISTANT UNTIL YOU'RE THE RELAY OWNER AND RELAY OPERATOR. DOES THAT MEAN EVERYONE SHOULD RUN THEIR OWN NIP-29 RELAY AND ONLY TALK IN THEIR RELAYS? IF YOU WANT TO FOLLOW ME JOIN MY RELAY TO SEE MY NOTES. I WILL RESPOND TO YOU ON YOUR RELAY. tl;dr nip-29 is good in some cases and bad in others.

You know what is nice about NIP-29? That it is not rocket science crypto voodoo magic. Ergo: What is the solution to data-loss? Back-ups elsewhere. What is the solution against an unresponsive relay (for whatever reason)? Another relay. Are these things clearly described inside the NIP? As it so happens, yes, they are, go read it.

 Perhaps decent clients and a sense of responsibility towards a community among just a single participant of those 1000 users (not so) magically addresses these concerns.
