Looks like destiny has decided that I go to the USA for 4 years, the migration officer approved my visa. In theory, it can still be refused, and it's not official until they ship it over to me. I do have a few questions I'd like to get help on: 1. I'll be around Atlanta, Georgia. Are there are any #Nostr #homeschoolers or #unschoolers in the area? The process to do it seems straightforward but it's more beaurocracy than we thought compared to Mexico. 2. Does anyone have any recommendations for areas to live in the northern side of Atlanta? Specifically around the city of Norcross. 3. Any Nostriches living in the area? I'd love to meet up and build a community.

Atlanta is a cool city, you could have ended up in a much worse place.
I hope you don't mind traffic, I drive around Atlanta about 4 times a week. Traffic around there sucks. I like the little german town of Helen, GA there is a nice river to tube down through the city. We homeschool our kids but in Florida and we just stay off the radar and the gooberment doesn't even know we have kids. We document what they are learning just in case they come asking about their education. Friends of ours who homeschool do jump through minimal hoops to be in compliance with the state of Florida. Its probably less organized in GA so might be easier to homeschool in the grey areas of so called legality.
Yeah, I've been around the area before, the traffic sucks. I'll look into Helen and we're also just trying to find out what is the minimum thing required to do to keep the government away in case they come knocking.
I don't want to monetize my social media usage it could lead to unhealthy habits... but one day I may change my mind.

Woodstock and Canton are great areas. I have a cousin that lives in Canton. I visit regularly. I rarely go into the city proper due to traffic. Northern Atlanta area is beautiful land. Welcome to the US! Congrats
