The main objective of public schooling is to make sure the kid is identifying with his name. They are making the kid to write down his name every day and they are writing evaluating scores next to his name, and the kid have to take it seriously, the kid has to emotionally respond when his name is called by "authority". It is like a voodoo doll which is used to control him later in his "adult" life. Teaching them the normie science and history is secondary objective.
