I agree I think the public ledger in bitcoin is rediculous. Why should there be a permanent record for the entire world to read hey address one made x amount of transactions & sent address two x amount for x. Everything you bought your entire life will be public record I think that's what the government wants which is why now all these news feeds pop up saying governments purpose reserve in bitcoin they want to control the knowing of information. With the new willow quantom chip i'm afraid that the encryption behind monero will be obsolete & crackable. I want to get more involved with monero & see if theres somewhere I can read about what the devs are planning to do to prepare for willows quantom cracking encryption system. Also I would like to know a good wallet that does not kyc & I could just make a wallet without giving an email address to start using XMR with. That's the monero short XMR right?

FYI Moneros privacy is quantum safe if you don't publically share your xmr address. Use quantum-resistant channels to share your address like SimpleX, Signal, or even mail/in-person But as far as what is being done about it, the newest upgrade FCMP brings perfect forward secrecy which means even if a quantum adversary breaks a specific transaction it cannot retroactively decrypt past transactions Comprehensive solutions are also being worked on:
