My logic is very faulty, I'll admit, but did they learn to draw out of passion or because of some motivational speech? Could be both, but I keep seeing these guys trying to make into industries they absolute have zero passion for because they just want to make money. Luck appears to be a much bigger condition in that case.

During the pandemic, there was an insane number of people who wanted to get into coding and failed miserably. A lot of coders I know like coding, even if they hate their job or the projects and languages they work on. I myself hate my job, but I like what I do, though I'd never call myself successful because it's not the industry or the project I wanted to work on, and a lot of my professional "success" was more due to luck than anything else, I stopped playing "grind" 10 years ago.
