Why does that even matter? It divides a group that mainly don’t like the same thing for similar reasons. When core represents the opposition by straw manning them, it results in the opposition spending energy categorizing, self identifying, explaining, etc. humans don’t like to be misunderstood. If someone becomes concerned with that, it’s a sign of weakening. Core doesn’t explain themselves, they just throw hand grenades blindly into rooms. In that room, everyone can scramble or agree to throw them back. I met a dev the other day that was confused why bitcoin mechanic liked his post about running working on Knobs (with a B). He was confused because he was doing it to poke fun at knots. I told him if he understood mechanics intentions, it would make perfect sense. Knots isn’t about Knots. It’s opposition to core. Knobs is also opposition to core, technically. It’s best to speak to the greatest common denominator. Those are the people who can help. Those people know knots, knobs, and notcore30 are all different, but they are the same in why they have come to exist in a way. Tl;dr Spend energy making the change, not explaining it.
