I understand the move, but X is necessary. Elon is on the side of freedom and X Premium is a great way to support freedom (even if Elon doesn't need our dollars). Nostr needs to attract more than just us Bitcoiners and be a place where multiple interests can be explored. Right now, nothing is better at that than X, no matter how much we love Nostr, it's not a replacement of X (but might be someday 🙂).

Elon may be on Freedom's side, but he doesn't really know what that entails. He likes shitcoins like Doge and only allows KYC'd people to pay for his platform. Worse, X is already being blocked by whole countries like Brazil. How long until the rest block it? There is certainly an organized effort to destroy free speech going on around the world and Nostr really is the only thing standing up to that in the long run.

True... not gonna argue with that. But X is one of the only large platforms where free speech still exists. And that makes it worth supporting. At least while it's still available.
