There are many criticisms of BTC that hold as much water as a fork -- because they're basically coping rationalizations people come up with to justify their own inaction.
One of the most ridiculous among them all is the one that says that buying BTC is done for short term speculative reasons. If Bitcoin teaches one single lesson to people who buy it, that's precisely long term thinking and an aversion or at least indifference towards short term speculation.
It's a lesson taught regardless of whether the pupil likes it or not, or whether he believes it or not. It will systematically happen and whoever chooses to ignore it will systematically get rekt.

Sure, just don't call it crypto currency. It is a virtual coin for hipsters.
Crypto currencies imply accessible privacy in transactions and fair distribution (mining) between participants.
The only criticism is that you all forgot your own white paper and turned an outdated technology into a religious object.
What in fuck are you babbling on about?
It's called C. R. Y. P. T. O.
You obviously should buy stocks or forex since you have zero idea on what mining or crypto privacy is all about.
Don't forget to KYC too ๐
I think you're taking me for someone else.
