Yesterday I randomly got an advert for a show... and ended up buying myself tickets to watch who was my first favourite artist in life, between ages 10-14/15. We didn't have that much money and noone liked him either, so I never saw him live. Eventually, I expanded my taste in music and I met the band that literally saved my life. I kinda lost track of the other artist. I would listen to some of his songs every now and then but didn't know he still played at all all these years later - he's doing a 25th anniversary tour! 👵🏽😂
At the beginning of the year I also went to watch a band from my teenage who had dissolved 20 years ago. It is a year of fulfilling childhood/teenage dreams 💜
Today I put on this artist's playlist while making dinner and I sang every. single. word of his first two albums at the top of my lungs 😂 (public apology to my brother who listened to it all) I may not remember a single physics lesson but damn sure I remember these.
This year my inner child is healing through the music I never thought I'd see live 💜
