Lol it looks like the rubber grommet on the left has fallen off the hook on the vehicle. Have you tried hooking it back on? Bungee cords don't last too long under tension before they break.

Thanks for looking out. The saga of this muffler has been on going and hilarious at this point. You’re right, the metal hook that connects the rubber grommet fell off entirely. It’s a modest fix that I’m going to attempt when I have the patience. For now, I’ve got another bungee on deck!

Haha - yeah not quite the easy fix I thought it was. You'd need to weld a new hook on to secure it long term. It looks like it was designed to have 2 hooks attach it. Have you looked for the hook on the other side of the car? A more permanent temporary fix would be to move the grommet onto the other side of the muffler & attach that. You might also find that the grommet is still attached to the car on that side.
