Question.
If let's say I noted something, like a music video made by someone else, but people zapped my post.
Am I breaking any laws?

*we don't talk about that*
I would look at it like being a curator. You bring something to the attention of people who wouldn't know about it otherwise.
But, of course, it'd be nice to give back to the original creator, so that more cool stuff gets created. This is why a lot of thought was given to being able to split lightning payments with various creators in the podcasting 2.0 world. Perhaps some of that will come to zaps one day. It is almost necessary in a sense, because everybody involved in the infrastructure needs a cut so the system can continue to run.
If it's something freely available on the internet, you haven't broken any laws. You'd have to break the law first, like maybe pirating something and then posting it here. The mea culpa of me not actually being a lawyer- and who knows what they can decide is illegal when they are out to get you- applies here.
If you are happy you are probably breaking the law ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
It would be awesome to be able to give credit to the original video creator, then people who zap can make an informed decision and you can even redirect zaps per post if you want. This post redirects posts to you โก
Btw, did you get the zap?
Yes ty. I can't see it on my client but it showed up in my wallet
Yeah, I see the zaps, you get the proceeds. Not sure if there's an easy way for clients to subscribe to zaps by lighting address.
