Only watched the fist few min so far but for example when Dorothy is on the wall and falls, and then when the witch rides up those are two big scene changes that should link up with similar major sound changes. It’s probably been 20 years since I tired but I remember something about dropping the needle precisely on the 3rd lions roar lol 😂
The problem is that there is a lot of empty space before the song on vinyl. Even when cueing the vinyl from a specific point, there is no guarantee of the speciic point being used the next time. This is 💯 better done with cd. So I recorded my vinyl separately and lined it up with the movie based on specific scene sequences. I made a separate recording of side 2 and lined it up as well. To tell the truth, I overlapped the very end of side 1 with the start of side 2 so the Money bass line drops precisely as the door is opened into the movies color sequence. This could not be done by simply playing the CD, and IMHO creates a superior sync.
Yeah watched the whole thing! Imo the money baseline you mention and the previous transition when the house lands and everything gets quiet… those are the sickest links. Fun watching it! Has been a hell of a long time.
I was thinking it’s way harder with vinyl, you’d need to cue it up right at the start of the song rather than the run ins… and def harder to replicate timing too.
