While it is true that they are tightening control everywhere, do you really need to use their search engine? I find that private LLMs or otherwise Kagi, DDG to be superior anyway

Maybe this is all part of a conspiracy to trick us into moving to Kagi. Now who is funding Kagi? It's all very suspicious because it works too well to be true.

The Google results are still the best for me. So now I'm using my SearXNG proxy again (where I can configure multiple search engines providing results) but I should try out Kagi too.

My SearchXNG instance is working, but I use more than Google as a search result provider there.. So it might be that I'm missing the results from Google.

If its like mine then you aren't getting Google results. The fact that I didn't even realise that SearchXNG wasn't there is a good sign that maybe I don't need Google search anymore. I switched Google off for now, lets see how it goes.

Paid for search is good for the soul and legit better than Google. Add a ? to the search and you get a LLM response. Kiddos get safe search. Nobody gets ads. You can pay with bitcoin.
