Bitcoin is not
medium of exchange (MoE) OR
store of value (SoV) OR
unit of account (UoA).
Bitcoin is money. I.e. it is
MoE AND
SoV AND
UoA.
It is all three to different people to varying degrees, based on their knowledge and circumstances/needs.
Being censored by government? MoE seems more valuable to you.
Living in high inflation? SoV seems more important to you.
That is fine.
If people focus and enhance one aspect that does not necessarily mean the others get worse.
Lightning and Cashu improve MoE but do not deteriorate SoV or UoA.
Self-custodial hodlers do not prevent MoE.
On the contrary, if one aspect gets better it might lift-up the others.
What good is a SoV if you cannot use it for payments eventually when you need/want to?
Who will accept payment in a currency that is not worth anything?
So don’t fight unless others try to take away your freedom.
