My Damus is set to NWC with my node and it works great, but I don't really use Damus. It's more of a testing device (that I borrowed from my niece last summer to test Nostr apps on iOS).

So I suppose you’re using @primal with your node as well
Yeah when I use Primal I use NWC to my node for zaps.
