My oldest son, 10, is an old soul…or maybe based is the new term for that. He stayed in bed sick today, and the only things he asked to do were read his hunting and fishing novels, play gin rummy, and watch The Andy Griffith Show.

Man, he is an old soul. In the 70s when I was sick at home, I would read Tom Sawyer and my Ranger Rick magazines, while watching the Price is Right and Andy Griffith show.
My grandmother made me play rummy, but that was the price I paid for getting to eat ice cream for breakfast on Saturday mornings at her house.
