New Day New Activity 👶 Childhood Throwback Challenge 34 years ago, I was the baby in my Lola's arms. At that time, neither of us knew how much we would mean to each other. She wasn't just my grandmother—she became my safe place, my comfort, and the person who loved me when life felt hardest. We were always together. We went to church side by side, shared countless moments, and as she grew older and weaker, I gladly became her caregiver. I washed her clothes, cleaned her room, and stayed with her because she had spent so many years taking care of me first. Whenever I was sent away from home, it was my Lola who welcomed me without questions. Her room became my shelter. When my parents couldn't give me school allowance, she quietly found a way. She bought me clothes when she could and gave whatever she had, even when she didn't have much herself. Her love never made me feel unwanted. Ten years ago, she left this world, but a part of my heart left with her. Losing her was one of the deepest pains I have ever felt. Even now, there are days when I wish I could sit beside her one more time, hear her voice, go to church with her again, or simply tell her how grateful I am. This old photo is more than a memory. It's proof that I was once held by someone who loved me unconditionally. And no matter how many years pass, I will always miss my Lola. Some people leave this world, but the love they gave stays in our hearts forever. ❤️🕊️🥀 @zine Tagged @Enoch #childhoodphoto image
