Yes! This was it! I was thinking it would be interesting to expand on something like this, then also create a bot that sends a note here when someone is waiting to connect, but not who it is. People can follow the bot then join a chat when someone is online.

I’ve never created a bot before.. idk what the first step would be Do you wanna do this? You’re more than welcome to, it actually sounds like a great idea, I’m all for it! Lmk what you’d need from me 🫡

I have built bots, I probably could build one that could communicate with the website, I would need a way to tell the bot to watch for whatever kind of event the app is using specifically or something.

Would it be better if I hosted it on GitHub and created a spec for it that outlined everything that the app uses?

That might be good, I honestly have more projects than I know what to do with and in the middle of job hunting too, so it would probably be a while till I look into this, I think it's a good idea though.
