King James 👍
This can work, but it's not a traditional book. Starting in Genesis and reading cover to cover probably isn't what you're after.
Get a Bible, read the book John or Matthew inside. I
They cover the life of Jesus and the main points of following him.
Books like beautiful outlaw add some interpretation
This was very helpful for me. I listened and read the same passages each day. It’s also on Spotify if you prefer.

It’s the Bible in a Year with Friar Mike Schmitz in case the link doesn’t work
As for which actual Bible, get one with all 73 books (includes Deuterocanonical books) aka a Catholic Bible. Might as well read it all while you’re at it!
Read NT (Matthew and on) and start pounding Grace To You sermons:

Start with the works of Hermes Trismegistus…
Começa com qualquer uma, depois vc aprofunda para os fontes mais primárias.
Read the new testament first. And pray God relentlessly to give you faith, only He can give it to you. May God bless you in your journey.
Yes, I use English standard version…
I follow the Bible recap plan. It’s a 365 day reading plan which takes you cover to cover chronologically. I use the Holy Bible app which has the plan built in. Everyday there is a 7-10 min podcast that covers the days reading. This is my second year doing it. Highly recommend.

There are always two parts in cultivating faith - actions and intent .. actions we can control , intent is like walking on water .. mind is hard to control but it comes around through practice ..
So , my suggestion is to join a local institution, something you can go to daily or at least weekly .. follow the rituals ..not cuz there is value in going through the motions ..but because actions are easy to control and they gradually lead to purification of "intent" ..
Once you find the peace , it pulls you in ..
My 2 :-)

I would recommend an ESV translation because I think it’s one of the most accurate translations, and it is written in easier to understand English. However any Bible will do.
Start reading one of the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John), they all cover the life of Jesus as recorded from 4 different viewpoints with emphasis on different parts.
Also, you should definitely go to one of your local churches, but don’t just show up and leave right after. Stick around and talk to people there, they will be more than happy to help you, and they are some of the best people you’ll meet
I recommend The Bible in a year podcast. About 20 minutes a day of readings with 5-10 minutes of interpretation by a great priest. (And I’m not catholic!). Great grounding material.
I also recommend ESV. Also read through Heidelberg Catechism. Question and Answer 1: What is thy only comfort in life and death?
full pdf with scriptural references can be found here: https://prts.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Heidelberg-Catechism-with-Intro.pdf
Yes, start with the book of Genesis.
