If they don't need it, we wouldn't have implemented it. This was a direct request by users to get rid of all the spam automatically.

Frivolous or not, it is their freedom to do so.
First you say nostr should be about freedom. And when everyone is using their freedom to report someone, this is not good. What is actually your point?
