Im very happy with the signer and its very convenient for a single place to sign from a local app. If a new client doesnt have it integrated or planned to it is a negative for me. Granted that is a personal opinion. Primal is still a good client but i dont like copy pasting my nsec. Normal people won't care, its the same as copy pasting a username password combo for their social media sites
Yeah, as long as apps keep surfacing: 1๏ธโƒฃ Nsecs as dumb strings you can copy-paste 2๏ธโƒฃ Relays as dumb commodity servers Normies won't grasp their significance.
But do they even need to? What percentage of the internet using population understands what happens under the hood of posting/streaming/chatting online. We do not need people to be protocol experts to use, make the clients intuitive and they will be used. I operate from a mindset of people are lazy, they dont want to learn something new for a tool. Key rotation would be an opt in feature for those who need/want it.
Yes, they need to. There are intuitive and fun ways to surface both Keys and Relays, and the responsibility that comes with their power.
In the same way they understand not to share their login credentials maybe but not on a technical level. If you mean they need to understand how keys and relays work in detail I must respecfully disagree. Possibly framing relays as a way to filter content they want to view and interact with maybe.
