Big question, do we want Nostr to become mainstream and have an open, decentralised internet? Is that the problem we're trying to solve? Or does everybody just like having a small community like the old days of the internet

Personally I prefer smaller online communities. Hopefully there’s some sweet spot where there’s enough users to support indie creators, without the bollocks that comes with big platforms.
At least there’s the option to fork if it gets too hectic…
Interesting. I prefer that too, it's nice to see some familiar faces and "bump into" people randomly. I feel like that could still be the case with Nostr no matter how big it gets though. Because you can have private relays and communities and people can be kicked out of those communities quite easily if they break the rules too
I kinda thought we were here to destroy Microsoft and other corporations and the FCC
I hope it becomes where all my family members communicate so I don’t have to go on fb anymore
That's rather ambitious. It's fascinating how everybody seems to have a different opinion of what we want to achieve here. Looks like we're all here for different reasons
I'd love that too!
Right on I’m in Dominicalito
