Correct, there is no real competition, only in the minds of sinful men can they imagine that there is any real competition.
Christ did literally die on the Cross, and upon him the sins of the world were laid. He paid the penalty of death for sin so that repentant sinners don't have to face such judgment. He then descended to the dead—Hades—to proclaim his victory over sin and death to the devils kept there in bondage and also to bring the souls of the faithful departed, from Adam until his coming, into paradise. He then bodily rose from the dead three days later, and was present with his disciples for forty days before ascending back into glory.
It isn't a matter of there not being "enough evil" in the world that he delays judgment but that he mercifully gives time for sinners to repent. And many do repent. He also uses hardships to humble and refine his people. But judgment upon unrepentant wickedness does eventually come. Because he is a just God.

So if there is no competition, what’s all the other unecessary, nonsensical, contradictory bullshit about? Think. Don’t respond with more refurgitation. Go away and think.
No contradiction. I've repeatedly made the point that sinful man thinks he can subvert the will and rule of God, but he cannot.
