Most people store their Bitcoin on a Trezor and think they are done. They are not done. The chain is transparent. Every transaction visible. Every address traceable. Most people run Wasabi and let it connect to someone else's node. That is half the work. The privacy Wasabi gives you on the chain means nothing if the node you are connecting to is watching everything before it gets there. You broke the transaction history. But you handed the watcher a front-row seat. This is how you close that gap. What you need. A running Bitcoin full node. Bitcoin Core or Bitcoin Knots. Fully synced. Your machine. Your rules. Wasabi Wallet installed. Latest version. Both on the same network. The connection. Open Wasabi. Go to Settings. Find the Bitcoin node section. You will see a field for a custom backend. Enter your node's RPC address. Localhost if the node is on the same machine. Your local IP address if it is on a separate device on your home network. Enter your RPC username and password. These are set in your bitcoin.conf file when you configured the node. Save. Restart Wasabi. Wasabi now talks to your node. Your node talks to the network. Nobody sits between you and the chain.
