Oh that sounds perfect. I’ve rendered lamb fat into tallow… it makes excellent pie crust! If your wife is willing to share her secrets, I’d love the recipe for how she made the lamb in the slow cooker.
Top secret! 🤣...don't tell anyone. Marinate over night using a paste made from garlic puree, salt, rosemary, black pepper and a little rapeseed oil. Lie it on a bed of carrot and onions in slow cooker and add lard and slow cook for about 6hrs. The meat should just fall off the bone.
