Having wasted sufficient time and money with Home Assistant and wiring light switches that my current favourite is:
Lutron Caseta Best Overall, Yes they’re expensive and you need the hub. They don’t require a neutral wire, can be wired multiple ways and can use wireless physical remote switches . They have dimmers and looks exactly like the regular paddle switches. They feel premium, work locally. Guests / family use them like normal.
Pairing them and adding them to Home Assistant was easy compared to other brands.
I like everything about them, except the price.
They’re almost double most other brands.
I’ve used some in wall Shelly controllers around the house to save a bit. (No dimmers, neutral wire required.)
