Hot take: when discussing leadership (esp in context of politics) business leaders or often lauded as having the best experience/acumen for the compexities of leadership. I would submit that an overlooked and underestimated intangible in a leader is an understanding of human nature. And few people understand human nature better than skilled adversarial-thinking software developers. So maybe that's what we need: more hackers (preferably cypherpunks) in politics. That's it.
