Hello Fren, Thanks for chiming in.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜€ You are correct, in part, but have confused and conflated disparate examples. Gideon: 100% "of Yahweh" in his faith-based acts. Jehu: King BY CONCESSION after Israel rejected Yahweh as King (1 Samuel 8:7) Judas Maccabeus: AT BEST, similar to Jehu. Cromwell, William of Orange, et. al.... After Jesus was enthroned, ALL who claim a "right" to rule by violence are antithetical to his Kingdom, and have strayed from The Way... As such, they prove themselves minions of satan, despite any disingenuous claims to Christianity. What is The Way Jesus taught, and the apostles died for to teach us?๐Ÿค” 100% voluntary, peaceful, decentralized/local, self governing communities, allegiant to none but the true head of The Body, King Jesus himself. His Kingdom is "not of this world;" it operates on entirely different principles:

I guess we will have to respectfully disagree then ๐Ÿ˜… The church and state are entirely different God ordained institutions with different purposes in society, and I believe you are unfortunately conflating them in your summary ๐Ÿ™ Paul clearly articulates the legitimacy of state violence when saying: "For if I am an offender, or have committed anything deserving of death, I do not object to dying; but if there is nothing in these things of which these men accuse me, no one can deliver me to them. I appeal to Caesar." Acts 25:11 The Roman Empire at the time was 100% involuntary, violent, centralized, and aligned to pagan gods, yet Paul still presupposes it's legitimacy and obligation to punish certain evil deeds with death. Christ also returns as the "King of kings", again presupposing the legitimacy of monarchs in which He will dispense violent retribution against rebellion (Luke 19:27). Just as a good father or elder will mimic Jesus, within their God ordained positions/authority, so too should kings.
